On Wednesdays after lunch, I help co-teach a Reading Club. We have 10 5th and 6th grade students who come in each week and we do reading activities together. For the most part, I do some read aloud and then quiz over what they heard, they choose books to read, and we read newspaper articles for kids together and talk about them. It's a very laid back class and great students. Well at the end of June our Reading Club joined with the English Writing Club and were the chosen group for an English radio broadcast. The host of the radio show came to our school and asked the students lots of questions about a book we had read with them. He also asked them other questions. There was a lot of laughing and of course English. It's just one of the many ways that Koreans have incorporated learning English into their lives. It is a lot of fun for the students and then of course they could go back and listen to their radio broadcast when it was played in August. Below are a couple of videos I took of the students during the recording of the radio broadcast.
